Default Chikakoo/Sauer/Cardiff Report Weds June 26th 2013

It was good day of fishing yesterday visiting these 3 trout ponds. We had a lot of success on spinners and spoons having luck on many different patterns. Fished Chikakoo and Sauer in the early morning and Cardiff in the evening. Sauer producing the bigger trout out of the 3. Man did they ever bite hard for such small fish..

Fish from Cardiff, Chikakoo, Sauer respectively

Went again early this morning trying to get one of my friends his first trout. Started at Chikakoo but focused on Sauer lake fishing near the shore using our inflatable boat casually drifting a few feet away from shore. It was a great morning out and the morning bite was very aggressive. He hooked into 3 and lost them on his retrieve but luckily he was able to land one and enjoy his first rainbow.

Early morning mist at chikakoo

more smallies

excuse the bad quality on my phone camera.

Hoping for another fun outing this Long weekend!

Thanks for sharing...I am camping at Spring Lake for the next month or two. Working days near Calahoo and plan on hitting Chickakoo Lake alot on way home. Gotta love having kayaks on the truck while at work.
