As good as any, that's for sure.

Rocky Mountain, Elk101, Wapiti River, Phelps are all good.

Comes more down to the tongue and its operator.

I buy a variety of each and throw in the truck every summer. By september I usually have 1 or 2 favorites and the rest get benched.

Rocky Mountain contender is a good one to have in the pack. Its a good all around call for most situations.

I use Phelps Pink, Grey, White and Green are my go to. If I had to pick just one it's definitely the Pink.

I've tried several different brands of reeds without any success. I think it's because the roof of my mouth is to narrow for them to fit properly, so I just use the primos terminator and/or their green or orange cow calls.

Have you tried trimming the tabs? You can get a “custom” fit by doing so. The BRO guys even recommend taking scissors to your brand new mouth tab to get the prefect fit.
