Heading to Northern Saskatchewan
One of my favorite places to go and as of yesterday the Saskatchewan Gov't has reopened access to most of the NAD.
We are flying in May 30!!!

Could you please provide a link? This is supposedly the "official" Sask gov Covid site, and it still says it is closed (2nd paragraph under General Information).

I would think that if you live in Sask, you can go north, but still coming from out of province would be a no-go.....

So if you’re going somewhere northeast, good luck, tight lines, have fun.

Fish will be active & the mosquitoes won't. Enjoy!

I called this morning to the toll free Sask Covid info line and they also gave us the green light as we fly out of Missinipe.

It looks like we will be getting to the lake about 7 or so days after ice out and have never fished so close to the ice coming off.
Any tips for Lakers and Pike for this time of the year?
Thanks in advance

Shallow. Focus around any places where rivers or good size creeks feed the lake.
Lake trout on a cloudy day will be up in 6-7 feet, cloudy 12-13 feet.

We had this situation once in Saskatchewan. Fish shallow running lures along the receding ice edge.

Set up by whom ? Local residents ? FN ? Highly illegal regardless.

Looks like my trip to tower lodge on Dore lake June 2nd is a go. Might have to go through big river though instead of green lake which will add about an hour and a half, but no big deal.

I just got off the phone with 4 RCPM detachments in northern sask and the Saskatchewan public safety agency 1-855-559-5502
I was told by RCPM detachment in green lake they have nothing to do with the road blocks there. It is run by SPSA.
This is what I gathered from my phone calls
Cabin owners are not allowed though
Lodge owners and outfitters are allowed though with proof.
I phoned today may 27th things could change in the next week the SPSA said

I might have read it wrong in the news other day. The rcmp just had a roadblock looking for booze going into laloche. It sounded like they were the main roadblock and were also looking for booze but maybe not.

Drove back from Missinipe yesterday and there are signs at the Green Lake turn off stating there were travel restriction in place due to Covid 19 but there wasn't a road block there. Having said that there could have been one closer to Green Lake as the turn off we drove by is still a long ways from Green Lake.
Best to call ahead.
Good luck

Clicked on here expecting to see slough shark pics filling a pickup box. Fished Green Lake many summers as a kid. Big, deep lake. Hope the fish were biting where you were.
