I am looking for advice/comments on a good watersports/fishing lake within 2 hours of Edmonton. We are looking to purchase a lot to leave our camper on. We were just up at Floating Stone this past weekend, it looks nice. Any comments?
2 1/2 to 3 hours is one of the best lakes in Alberta, Lesser Slave Lake. It's only in the last 10-15 years that it has gained popularity as the cost for lakes closer to Edmonton have made it more attractive.
Lac Ste Anne, Lac Lanonne, Lesser Slave Lake, Lac LaBiche, Pigeon Lake, Buck Lake.
PM me if you want specific names of trailer resorts (seasonal campsites) where you lease a lot and park your trailer on it for the year. That's what I do.
