connect to google painfully slow

Is there some anti virus I can down load that may help speed up my slow connection speed to google?

I'd try the AVG Free Edition...but a slow connection can be caused by a whole big list of software and hardware issues.......never hurts to run an anti virus at all times tho!!!

Hold up ... ... ... What?? Anti-virus doesn't have anything to do with speeding up your connection. Kind of like asking if there's "any fog lights I can install on my car to make it go faster?" Contrary to what I used to tell people in training at my last job, turning on the fog lights does not give you a 5 horsepower boost.

Anti-virus protects your computer from viruses. If only the Google website is slow, then there's likely a problem on their server. If it was a problem on your end, then every website would be slow, not just Google.

Are you using the google tool bar? It use to be just a simple search bar. Now they keep adding crap to it, auto search, gps search, adds, and a whole raft of other useless junk if all you want to do is search. Go into settings and turn off all that crap. seemed to speed mine up.
