Default Magazines found in the waiting room...

I’m sitting in the waiting room of my daughters oral surgeon and the magazine selection is quite impressive. Gundog, Wildfowl, Guns & Ammo, Fly Tyer, Field & Stream, Big Buck, Fly Fisherman, Peterson’s Hunting, etc

There are a lot of doctors and dentists who are avid outdoorsmen. Your local taxidermist will know them well.

I was in a large barbershop in SE Calgary and they had a Glock magazine on the waiting area table and as decor about 10’ high up on a shelf was a replica of some type of light machine gun. I mentioned the magazine to the barber (but not the LMG on the shelf) saying it was a bit different to see these days and he was initially being very neutral about its presence until I revealed I was a ‘gunnie’. From then on we had something to talk about . Biggest barbershop I’ve ever seen, twice as wide as most shops and a deeper space as well, could probably fit 6 normal size shops in it. At that size it has an iPad in a stand at the door to sign in for your place in line.

Most waiting rooms I end up in are full of womens mags. Good to see some good reading in some offices.

You know, I might just get some surgery to support this fellow. Nice to hear.

I hope you complained! Who knows what sort of emotional damage has been done to innocent young minds in that waiting room!

Sometimes I just slay myself

I drop all my magazines off in our local acupuncture/massage therapy clinic. Great place to recycle them.

My doctors office banned magazines because they can't be sanitized and can spread virus's, who wants to read Readers digest and family circle anyway.

I take magazines from time to time to offices and leave them. Told the rule is don’t ask don’t tell. If you ask the receptionists personal bias comes in.

I was always a little grossed out by dr’s office magazines. Countless sick people licking their thumb and turning the pages.
Now you guys are telling me that some of those magazines are from the rack beside the toilet in your house?

As though that's of the least bit of concern to a plumber, well exercised immune systems and all

Some of those old National Geographic magazines and Sears catalogs might have been from some old duffers nightstand

And that’s the straw that broke the camels back.
I’m never touching a dr’s office magazine again.
