Was the same price in Okotoks when my wife popped by today as well. Unfortunately the sale looks to be in one or few costcos.

I wonder if they “price match” other Costco stores. Would only make sense. Has anyone ever asked? I know I bought some laminate in one some years ago that was on sale and then picked up a couple more boxes in another store where it supposedly wasn’t. It was very long time ago though and I do not remember even slightly how it went.
Could also be that the sale is simply over. Sometimes they have a one day thing going.

I got her to ask and they said different stores have sales at different times. And no price match. Which to me sounds silly. I was looking forward to stocking up.

^ Interesting. Agreed, pretty weird. Not like they are all franchises like Canadian Tire, for example (that still have the same sales on “generally” carried stuff). Good to know.

My apologies guys, I did not realize that not all Costco sales were not at the same stores. Will stop posting Costco stuff.

Even Canadian tire has different prices and will not price match . Found that out with boat motor oil . Both had 30% off . went to one store and they only had 2 jugs then went to another store to buy more . It was also 30 % off but the list tag was higher . I asked whats up with that ,and they told me each store is privately owned and can place any price they want on it . Thats why you have to type in the store you want to shop at .

Don't stop posting. Just mention which store you see it at. It will at least get me to keep an eye out for it.

X2, keep posting, just note the location. Often it is all the stores that have a sale price & sometimes they will go though discounting items at different times due to varying inventory levels (eg: clearance things where the price ends in 97 cents).

Sea Run Fly and Tackle, good outfit to buy from;
Lamson Remix fly reels are an excellent fly reel choice for any size of fly rod for any species of fish we have here in BC. These reels are available in a range of sizes suitable for rods from 2wt-10wt and in two different colour options smoke and glacier. The Remix reels range in price from $349.98-$299.98 all sizes and colours are on for the unreal price of $189.98.

The Canadian Tire up here (Yellowknife) is clearing out the Jet Sled 1 for $28. Not sure if the stores in Alberta are doing the same. It doesn’t even show up on their website so I can’t tell but they had about 8 in stock here earlier. May be worth checking at your local store if you’re looking for one.

Anyone looking for Hardware, building materials, hand tools, chainsaw bars and chains etc needs to check out the Lowes that are closing down. Was in the one on 97 St and 164 Ave Edm an hour ago, everything is on 60 to 90% off. Got a 15 Amp 2 pole breaker for 12 bucks and a bag of O rings for 1.50. To bad I don't need much of anything else they have on sale.

Pork
Apparently a glut of pork in the USA, seeing quite a few sales on bacon, ribs etc. so something to watch for.

I have a pair of Lowa's. The most comfortable hiking boots I've ever owned, and I've been through a fair number.

Pretty limited selection, mostly small sizes and they also fit fairly small as well. Great boots though. Because of the sizing being a bit erratic I ordered a pair of Renegade GTX in size 12 and Nabucco in 11.5 from Altitude Sports last year with the intention of returning one of them. The Renegade actually fit a tad tighter despite being the bigger size, but both fit me pretty much perfectly and I'm typically a 10.5 or 11. I was impressed enough with the quality that I kept both. I don't think I'll ever need to buy another pair of boots.

We went to the Peavey Mart in Airdrie today as the Cat work boots that I wanted were $100 off there, but I also found a Gerber ulu-type knife called a Downwind that was steeply discounted to somewhere around $26 from about $68-ish IIRC. They still had 3 or 4 left.
