Wilson lake grande prairie?

I went out to wilson lake by grovedale ,because the fishing regs said it had pike and perch,i drilled some holes and the lake is just a big swamp,with a small creek.i dont see how any fish could survive in it!
Has any one ever fished this lake or caught any fish?
