Default Vermilion River fishing

Hey y'all. I was just wondering if anyone out there has had any luck on the the vermilion river this year? I remember catching a few little pike there years ago but i'm wondering if there has still been any action there recently, and besides right at Lea Park / North Saskatchewan River End of things. Any info is appreciated. Cheers!

Depends on the year.
My son caught his first fish in the vermilion, 4 pound walleye in the spring while I was catching them on a fly rod. Usually can catch small pile in most pools up and down the river. I've caught Goldeye, Walleye, Sawger, pike and suckers. Sometimes it's decent other years it's awful. I haven't fished it this year but I've seen people fishing above the dam quite a lot this year. Take that all for what it's worth lol.

If the vermilion is a bust....head south to the battle. Fall walleye are biting hard.....plenty of pike and the odd goldeye.
