Thumbs down My son was just robbed at gunpoint 137 ave gas station edmonton

He went to an atm and took out $300 for a tuner for his truck, found on kijiji. He got the money and felt something at the back of his head. A 5'7 black man told him to give him the (expletive) money or he was going to blow his head off.
He just got out of the Police station.
No sleep for any of us tonight.
This little bastard better get caught.

Soab I hate cities.

Scary stuff Ken. I'm glad your boy is ok.

I have a nephew who was robbed at knifepoint two days in a row in Calgary when he went there for school.

He was pretty shaken when he called me I am waiting to hear from him about the entire story. I asked if the Police are going to alert the media.
He was mad he didn't have a knife, but I have a son this morning.
Everyone is a superhero and could take on the world until you hear a gun being cocked at the base if your skull.
Please don't use this as an excuse to fire your stupid c.c. agenda I could have lost my son last night.

And the truth is, that under those circumstances, the thief could have used an air pistol or a fake gun, and people would never know whether he had a real firearm or not

Yeah and he could have splattered his brains on the atm. My son has shot all of my handguns, when he turned around and looked down the barrel it was not a bb gun.

Gheeze, I'm sure glad your boy is ok.

Every time the Pit Boss goes to the bright lights with his friends I suffer minor anxiety over it. Now I know how justified I am about those feelings.

Thank you and yes.
He said the Police told him it is a daily occurrence in Edmonton and never hits the news until there us a body. They should be warning people on the news.

Yeah - and that feeling of helplessness and "I wish I coulda..." may last a while.

My brother and sister were held up at gunpoint in the Edmonton University Hospital snack bar back in the mid 80's. When the perp cycled the shotgun's action in their co-workers face, they knew their best bet was to stay put and comply.

For years afterward, my brother was still racking his brain over how he could have done something to defend themselves, or keep the perp from getting away. The fact is, however, their lives weren't snuffed out that evening.

I believe that. Scary as hell.
My son is a big boy, 6'6 275 and solid as they come, he works for a living. But, chaclick is a terrifying noise and on the wrong end when some crackhead needs a fix it doesn't matter how big you are or what's in your pocket.

Glad he's OK.
I can't imagine a father having to go that involving their child.

Thanks.

This is awfully minor, rough circumstance but not horrible ending. I know people that have lost their kids and never came back the same. It would be best impossible to go on.

Bank machines tend to have a cameras behind the screen. So, hopefully, they police will have a picture of the criminal.

Glad your son was able to walk away. Got a 25 yr old one myself and don't know what I'd do if something happened to him.
