Question Remington model seven

Interested in a model seven in 308 just wondering if anyone has shot one and whats your opinion of it. Do you think the shorter barrel would reduce the accuracy much

I have owned two models sevens, a Model 7FS, and a Model 7 Stainless Synthetic, both in 7mm-08. Both would shoot three shot groups in the 3/4" to 1" range at 100 yards.

By the way, barrel length does not determine the accuracy of the gun. It really has little effect, unless you are using open sights, and the sight radius changes with barrel length.

I have one in 7-08 and it is just as accurate as my longer rifles, only thing I find different is that it is louder. Neat package and very handy, I like it.

I have a Model Seven in 7mm-08 and I love it. Very accurate rifle. Cant see it being any different in .308 either. As a suggestion, I have a Weatherby Vanguard S2 carbine in .308 that is lighter than my Model Seven (my Remington has a laminate stock) and shoots very well. Its a little better priced as well. Just putting that out there.
