Sorry about shooting that ram out from under you Andrew. Not sure why the rams headed my way that morning other than just being lucky and having the sheep gods smiling on us that day. Congrats again on the ram you ended up getting. You guys worked your tails off for that one, very well deserved.
No need to be sorry! Like I said on the mountain, I would of shot that ram if I had the chance! You earned that ram and hunted it just as hard if not harder then I did. Just the way it goes. Part of the un-predictable elements that draw us back again and again to hunting!
We had our share of luck as well as our hunt turned out great in the end. I will try to get more of my hunt up on another thread. Just have to eat about 10,000 calories first to recover from the adventure!
Congrats again on your beautiful ram Byron! This whole trip for Andrew and I has been an amazing, epic adventure, and an emotional roller coaster ride! We were obviously pretty demoralized after you took that ram on opening day, but the way things ended up playing out was pretty surreal. We covered over 70km of hiking, over 4000m elevation gain, saw many great sights, and ended up with a great ram of our own we couldn't be happier with! This will definitely be a trip I will remember for the rest of my life!
