Default fishing below bassano dam

Need some advice please, I live near Brooks and I always fish in the lower bow
but always end up catching goldeye don't get me wrong I like to catch fish but It's the trout I'm after. I try to follow the hatch as much as I can but those little goldeye are hungry little buggers.
ANY TIPS OUT THERE.
Also going to fish in Carseland this weekend any good tips

Thanks The Wbugger

If you dont want to catch the goldeye, match the hatch like youve been doing, just try to look like the other white meat. Try small Rap's and let em have it. Make sure you use FINE leaders though, as you know there are pike and eyes in there.
