Default North Buck Lake

I have a question, do you guys ever catch any pike of a larger size, then lets say 6lbs? I have caught one fish that may have been pushing 10lbs. Maybe.

Whats the biggest you've caught?

I've only ever fished there in the summer time and its always been sma pike. I'm sure there's gotta some decent ones in that lake just never caught them. I'm from red deer and I've been meaning to get up there for ice fishing. How has it been and how much ice is there? We caught some nice walleye and some beauty perch from that lake in the summer so is like to give it a try soon. Thanks

Walleye?? I have fished that lake quite a bit and have never seen one. I know they stocked some in there in the early 80s.

Pm me where you have seen them. Please.

I have a funny story about nbl. Last summer some friends and i were quadding on the trails by the sand pits and stopped on shore to cool off. Buddy of mine was standing waist deep on the edge of the dropoff there and suddenly went dead still and told everyone to stay still. we all thought hed had one too many "pops" but then he quickly reached down between his legs and grabbed a ten pounder ! The most amazing thing ive ever seen.
Ive fished up there quite a bit having friends who live in caslan. there are some big pike in there but theyre hard to find in winter. The thing ive found during the summer is that theres alot of lake that hardly anyone goes into. some of those nooks and crannies hold some big pike!

A buddy caught a walleye while trolling about 3 years ago (and released it).
