Default Thursday walleye fishing anyone?

Because the weather this weekend looks like crap, and the 14 day outlook looks just as wonderful, I wanted to take advantage of the last nice day for a while. Plus with harvest around the corner, my weekends are going to be booked.

All my buddies are away so wanted to know if anyone wanted to tag along fishing. Likely will be going to travers. Leaving the Calgary area at around 2pm, staying until dark, back around 11pm or so.

I thought this would be a good opportunity to take some new to AB anglers, new to walleye fishing people, people that don't have a boat or folks that don't have all the necessary gear. I would have room for 2 or 3 in the boat. I have mostly everything that is needed, just chip in for gas.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

I wish I could meet up with you boys thursday evening and hammer some fish. If you don't have anyone else then maybe I will cancel my plans to go check out the live mma fights in taber thursday night and meet you boys out there. I haven't been out in 3 weeks now and its killing me. I will also be heading to st. mary on friday evening to hunt some eyes down.

Do I have to bring a lunch ,cause I only eat whole wheat bread

When you are at the farm and you need a fix, pm me and I will bring a boat and you can show me around your pond (where I am 0fer3). Much appreciated.

Thank you for the public invite Musty, I wish I could join you and a couple other forum members.

For those who do take him up on his offer, Musty is a top notch ethical fisherman who goes out of his way to help others out and just enjoy a great day of fishing when he is not busy with saving the world from IT disasters, working on his farm, or being a father to a new little one.

Typical of most Saskie boys, a great fisherman and a terrific guy many people could learn a great deal from.

Enjoy the winding down of summer at Travers; evening fishing sessions in late summer down there is what fishing is all about!

So I met up with Fluxcore and fished with him for 6 hours on some of his hots spots. We did very well, catching a boat load of fish in all three spots we tried. A beautiful calm day in central AB and probably 120+ fish in afternoon. A couple of nice healthy fish too.

Man what an incredible day fishing and mustang is a beauty, I'm looking forward to getting the chance to get out with him again. I had allot of fun and some good laughs the tanks eluded us (8+lb) but with the good company and all the fish we caught it turned out to be a great afternoon.
