I have an 06 and I know a guy with an 01. Very good machines. Will go forever. Only prob I know of is on the 05 and newer the hitch tends to break. Easy fix though.

There are no common problems with Yamaha's. They had a couple years of axle problems on the Griz, but only when guys were putting on huge tires and power commanders. Most reliable machine made IMO, better value than overpriced Honda.

Anyone on here will tell you the same, unless they own stock in Ski-dont, Arctic Crap or Pull Outta Lake And Repair In Summer.

I have an 05 Kodiak and it has never let me down in the bush. sometimes I wonder when I am away back by myself what would happen if it quit and I had to walk home. I had an early skidoo and that thing always broke down so I am a bit gunshy.

I have a 2004 Kodiak 450, FIL has two 350's and and Uncle has a 2001 400 Kodiak. None of us had to put a dime into these quads yet. Probaly have close to 15000km all together on them.

Highly recomend to buy a Yamaha.

I have a 97 that has been an excellent quad. A lot of hard miles, and a lot of miles in 20 to 30 below weather pushing snow with a 60 inch blade. Other than a tune up and a couple plugs it has been a very dependable quad.
