For ducks and geese, sounds like a good choice.

Smile PM me and I'll put you in touch.

I have had BLF's before too and if you want just ducks and geese they are a great choice.

I have some field trial friends who will know of pups.

BLF?

I had a yellow, and he was a very good pheasant dog. He was also about the best bud, family dog, laid back pooch you could want. Offer a sniff of bird (or sight of a shotgun), and he turned into a vibrating 100% business dog.

I cant argue with the choice of a Lab. Be it black, yellow/golden/ or chocolate. Dont overlook a golden retriever or springer spaniel though. Great family dogs too. The golden retrievers do tend to have more of a shedding issue.
Good luck
