I only have experience with one Nosler rifle, but any of my Cooper, Anschutz, or Tikka rifles would easily outshoot that particular rifle, as it was all that it could do to beat moa, with it's preferred load. It looked and felt like a glorified Howa, and some of Howas were more accurate.

Wow. My bad. You won this round Tom! Make sure you tell all your friends and family about how I made the mistake of referring a "cast" item as "casted". I'm sure your followers will be in awe of how you felt this is important. Congratulations sir.

Some of us know the difference, obviously some people don't know the difference. I have fired both, when I fired the TRG-S in 30-378, I would have preferred that it weighed more.

Thanks for the input guys. You've given me a lot of good options to consider that would likely turn out a lot more affordable than the Nosler.
And by the way GWN....I like listening to you "Opinionated Old Cranks".
Everyone have a Merry Christmas.

If you knew a bit more about what you speak of, then I'd not have bothered with it.

C'mon now Mr.Dun, serving fast food is a noble occupation, I can also ensure you none of these gentlemen gave me a ring and asked for my hand. I am not engaged.

To start with don't call me sir!
I know who both my parents are!
I too have had more than one FAC.
You seem a tad fixated on the Cialis, perhaps you can tell what all the buzz is about the stuff? Since I don't care to know what it is, I guess I don't need it.
You also seem a bit fanatical in your reproach to certain manufacture of firearms, almost to the point if fanaticism.
Is it that, or maybe you are better off spending time in the fishing section.
Merry Christmas.

Gmurphy,
It's too bad that some of the "gentlemen" on this site just couldn't answer your questions like "gentlemen" instead of acting like a bunch of yapping schoolgirls at each other. Pretty embarrassing there fellas, just saying.
Good luck with your original request for info on A nosler rifle, doesn't look like your getting it today on this site.

I was only calling you "Sir" out of respect. I hope you know who your parents are. (I am completly confused why you typed this.)
I mentioned Cialis once, cant say that I am fixated on it.
I have shot a few Sako's and the price to performance trade off does not seem worth it.
I do spend time in the fishing section.
Merry Christmas to you as well.

If you do some searches on the net the general consensus is that they are a glorified Howa action...

You could have chosen another path after such a short stay. One where you might have been accepted, coached and helped out. But NO, instead, you come off as a know it all and beligerent little puke. So, we have no room for you here as you'll soon find out. See ya later rather than sooner.
PS: someone wants a shake, get on it.....NOW!

If you've never been in the military you'll never get the sir phrase, don't worry, it's kind of a trade secret sort of phrase.
As to the fishing section comment, maybe that's where you'll get better results with your trolling!
Your bravado is not welcome as Gitrdun stated.
Happy New Year.

Back to the initial question ...
The Nosler makes a satisfactory rifle, but definitely not deserving of the hype and price tag. A had one of their earlier Remington rebuilds on the range and that was a good gun. Had my buddy's more recent Howa/Vanguard ripoff on the range. Shot well but it was a stiff, clunky action.
Further ahead and more money in your pocket with a Plain-Jane SPS and a good aftermarket stock. Or a Winchester 70. I am quite fond of the current Extreme Conditions and the Featherlight.
But if you want to spend the equivalent, the Sako 85 and the Coopers are the way to go. The older 75s and TRG are also great rifles. Some of the previous commentors are confusing the TRGs with the TRG22 and TRG42; heavy sniper class rigs. My preference is for the Sako hunting rifles. Never had a problem with any of my Sako rifles. I have no range time on the Coopers, but I know and trust some of the guys shooting them.

There needs to be a dollar value on what "satisfactory" truly means.

My good friend and neighbour would have me cut up every Sako he's ever had into 1/2" slices and turn them into horseshoes.
