Well..it was a good day today. My son went back to his stand after work around 4 and he took a dandy 4 x4 whitie @7 yards..right under the stand. He has been bow hunting for 3 seasons now with no success (could have flung a few at does but passed). I am very proud of him and it is a good one too. I'm sure it will make Pope and Young. Don't have pics to share yet but I will when I get some to post. I just came back myself from an evenning hunt and called in a spike Elk to 12 yards...passed him up, I want his dad! Tomorrow I'll be there again!!

That's great...I love reading all the stories this time of year about people getting out with their kids/family and friends. Awesome job!!! Don't find too many youngsters willing to pass up a shot, myself was one of them LOL. Sounds like you are raising a good young man, congrats to you as well

I know this is an old thread already.. but being the son of bighorn and all I thought I would post some pics of the white-tail seeing as the ol man started the thread and just didnt get around to posting.


scored 132 3/8s NET with only 2 inches of deduction. It feels good to let some carbon fligh with impact seeing as Ive had prime opportunity time and time again.
