Was extremely happy to finally get out to Cold Lake ice fishing, and was even happier to catch my first ever lake trout. A few cm short of being a keeper but it sure put a smile on my face. Can't wait to go back and try again. Going to have to do some reading as to where to fish, but did ok.
Congrats on your first. I know the feeling of getting the first and wanting to go back. I went back to weekend after. They're a blast to catch.
Heading up this weekend for the first time this year. Want to try a summer spot I found and see how it does in the winter. If not doing good we'll hit my old faithful spot
