I havent been on pine yet this year, but I drove by there late nov and the lake was already frozen solid. I would assume there is at least 4" on there, probably more.

Anyone else punched a test hole at pine/sylvan/gull yet this season? I'm pretty sure pine will be good to go in another week or so. Sylvan and gull i'm not so sure about.

Gull first opens tomorrow, but not sure on ice except on another forum (i'm not cheating) all the lakes in the area have about 10". I wouldn't drive on that, but up to you.

cold snap
I would have to guess after this next cold snap, the ice should be safe to drive on. I think i will head out to Gull next weekend, test drill before driving on. I want to get my shack out there. Getting itchy to set it up.

Break thru
I read in another thread that a skid steer went through the ice at Wilson's Beach Friday morning. I think i will wait till after this cold snap to drive on, test drilling first of course.

Was at Brownlows yesterday, and there was 8-10". Talked with a guy who was roaming around with his side by side polaris, and he said he found some spots with water on top of the ice, something to watch out for if your going out there...
