Default Winchell Lake

Hey everyone,

I was thinking about heading out to Winchell this weekend. I've never been out to this lake and am just wondering how the fishing is this time of year, and if anyone is willing to share tips on bait or where to fish. I gather that there are small trout in there... is that correct? Anyone been out there recently?

Thanks!

Winchell, you may see me out there on Saturday. For bait green or pink power bait seems to work consistently. As for spots one seems to be as good as the next there is no structure on the bottom so finding the correct depth seems to be the trick and that will change from day to day. The lake is stocked with rainbows and occasionally you get one that approaches 12 inches

Good luck
