Default Slave Lake Narrows

Anyone been there lately? Wondering how the access is and also flood water conditions. I was going to head up today but wind was at 50+ km. supposed to be 10 - 20 tomorrow so I'm heading up. Anyone know how icy the roads in are after all the rain? Thx for any info

Well what a beautiful day at the narrows. Road in was good. Access is plowed almost all the way to shore. Saw lots of floodwater at Widewater and Canyon Creek on the way by so I was concerned but lots of snow at the narrows. Used my snowmobile. ATVS could make it out too. Trucks would probably need chains. There's some deep snow out there.
On the ice for about 4 1/2 hours. Caught 24 or 25 walleye, 2 burbs, 1 pike. Saw some big whites on camera as well as some big burbs but they were more interested in the camera. I was fishing 2 holes inside my tent with the camera just outside tent. Had a doubleheader of 50 cm walleye and one with 2 30 cm burbs. Lots of fish on camera, nice to see.
