I'm with 'Slinger on the Bison thing. Could be a gooder. God knows we can't have an Argentinian Red Stag pic!

I wonder who selects the cover shot? Is it an SRD decision or is it up to SportsScene the publisher?

I haven't seen a pronghorn on the cover in some time and I have always thought it is one of our nicest looking creatures.

The draw book doesn't have an animal on the frount cover.

Great pics, 'slinger. I don't think I've ever seen bluer skies....well, I guess I have because I live in Alberta.

Congrats on your hunt in Argentina. I'm lookin' forward to your next set of pics and stories of the hunts you'll be involved in.

Sportscene creates the design and then submits numerous photos for the design. SRD makes the final decision on the photo.

Great pic hawken, although I doubt we'll ever see anything dead on the front cover of the hunting regs.

Has SRD told you not to submit pics of anything dead? Or is it your opinion they would reject one?

I hope we never see someone hugging a bunny on the cover of the hunting regulations.

A tasteful pic of a happy hunter with her trophy in its habitat.

Nope, never been told that! My own personal opinion for a cover is something alive and majestic. But hero shots are okay as long as they are tasteful like your pic above.

But tell me the last time you saw something dead on a Government Hunting Regulations document anywhere, not just Alberta. I think I can remember a regulations once with a hunter and birds in hand, not sure it was here though.

Now was there any sort of prize for seeing into the future??? Why don't we have an official contest for next year. But we cannot start it until Rob tells us the regs have gone to the printers or at least that he has submitted cover photos to SRD for approval.
