Default Borrow a trailer?

I may get to go home tomorrow. Yayyyyyy!!!!!!!!

On Friday, I am wanting to pick up my wife's new motorcycle. I was hoping someone would let me borrow a trailer (with ramp) for the afternoon just to get her bike home.

She won't have the bike insured until next week when she gets her license, so we can't drive it home.

Thanks for considering.

Joe

I know that you are anxious to get the bike home, but personally,I would leave it with the dealer until it is insured. If something happens on the way home,or at home before it is insured, you could lose a fair bit of cash. Why take the chance if the bike won't be ridden anyways?

X2.

Riding your new bike home from the dealer is also one of the best parts of a new bike purchase.

Very true. However after riding my last new bike home over 300 miles through heavy rain with two hailstorms thrown in,I just wanted to get home.
However that didn't stop me from washing and polishing it as soon as I had some food and a brief rest.

I bought it in Edmonton. There are only two BMW dealers in Alberta. As for long rides,300 miles isn't a big deal,I have done over 800 miles on a motorcycle in one day.

At $1.40 per liter for premium,at just over 5 liters/100km for a fully loaded bike in horrible conditions,it would have been around $90.Better than a small economy car,but not as good as a smart car.The big bikes use more fuel than many people realize. Now that little 250 belonging to Joe's wife, will be very cheap to run,as well as looking good.

Well, Wifey has got a U-haul trailer booked. ( Why didn't I think of that?)
She wants it home like yesterday. But thanks anyways.

I know that feeling. She will probably spend more time polishing it and admiring it than doing much else for a few days. And the fact that she earned the bike with her hard work can only add to the enjoyment.

To bad I didn't see this sooner, I have a two place sled trailer that you could have used to pick up the bike.
