Default Car Transfer

I'm not sure what you mean by the 7 day rule, a person is allowed under the Alberta Traffic safety act to tranfser your lic plate onto a newly purchased veh provided that you carry your bill of sale with you and must produce the registration info and bill of sale on demand if by chance you should get pulled over. You have 14 days to transfer registration of the new veh at Alberta registries. You must notify your insurance company of your new veh before you drive the veh and can get temporary insurance for your trip. I would also contact Manatoba registries to see what is required when you enter that province.
