Default waterskiing at buffalo lake

is this a good lake for skiing/wakeboarding??.....my family and i will be up there for about a week.....and just wondering if we should bring the boat and stuff.....

we have read that it is not a very deep lake........are there sandbars that we need to be aware of??

It isn't overly deep. Max I think is around 22 feet and the average is about 10 feet. Thee are some sand bars but the last time I was there the bad ones were marked. You see skiers and wake boarders out there all the time. I have skied it, many moons ago, without incident.

Don't know that part of the lake. We take the boat down to pelican point a few times each summer and do a lot of tubing west of the camp ground out in the main part of the lake. Never had or heard of anyone having any trouble.

Clash,
Ol' Macs has a boat launch and tie up area of sorts. it was pretty weedy a couple years ago when we were there but lots of guys were using it. the last family reunion we had on the north end of the lake about 10 years ago my uncle had the boat out with no problems but that is a long time ago. acouple years ago there were a good number of skiers out on the lake. Have a great time, good luck getting the kids off the beach!
