Default Shore Fishing

Hi, I recently moved to Lethbridge and am looking for decent 'shore' fishing spots. I have been south towards Ryamond/Stirling, etc. but find the places I've been very shallow, rocky, and weedy....I was hoping someone would have some better suggestions.
Thanks!

Most of the larger lakes around Lethbridge are irrigation reservoirs and the fishing can be hit or miss fishing from shore. The water levels can fluctuate quite a bit depending on the time of year. If you like fishing for trout, try driving west out to Beaver Mines Lake or Beauvais Lake…. the scenery is tough to beat in the mountains. Another suggestion is to pick up a magazine called “Barry Mitchell’s Alberta Fishing Guide” from Canadian tire. It lists most of the fishable bodies of water in Alberta and what you can catch, plus gives basic directions on how to get there.

Default Fishin spots

First place I,d try is the Oldman river! Pick up a backcountry map book for that area, its got a great section in it for fishing. Its my bible when lookin for new spots.

Good luck
