How thick was the ice? I plan on making me way out there next week

Fished Cold once last winter, cant wait to get back. Thought it would be easier finding people to fish with. And yes, a Flasher is almost a must for lake trout. I can't imagine fishing Lakers or walleye without one now.

Google hotels on CL. Most are good for a day or so. Depends on your budget

There are a few bed and breakfasts right on the lake front as well. Not sure of names but just google them. Block from marina

If you have any sort of truck you can darn near go anywhere in 4wd and take a little more speed with a 2wd.

Heading east in the morning , not sure how far , but will let you know. Not taking a camera so you'll have to believe my measurements. Plan on breaking 90 at least once !

Its a new one, First time my uncle ice fished cold lake, just told him where to go,I was not with him on the trip,he just sent me this photo. Still waiting for a report how big it is. Picture looks like a zoom in shot to me if you look at the cooky sheet ,looks kinda of big and floating in the air.

We Headed down to cold lake on saturday. Fishing was HOT. we landed 22 and lost more than we want to admit. lol. Also Lost our monster. Set the hook and all the fish did was take line for 5mins then the freeking hook pulled. Oh well next time. We were planning to spend the night on the lake but the wind picked up and blew us off the lake at 11pm. Just when the night bite was picking up. Argggg. Anyways here are some pics of the trip. Enjoy.
