Default newell

Going camping at newell this wknd and just wondering how its fishing , and what has been working, This will be my first time at newell.Thxs Dave

Try the spillway, try the outlet, fish the eastern drop off (bottom bounce) try the south islands and the rocks near the launch or the mid lake rocky hump straight west of the launch for walleye. I always get a bunch of pike too but I don't know where to point you if that's what you're after.

Default Newell

last weekend the fishing was slow and the water was at 70 degrees. Saw lots of fish deep, caught a few hammer handles on the north end by the pump house.
At the north end head gates along the rocks is good walleye fishing. Bottome bouncing.... approx 25 to 30 feet of water.

Thanks guys i will be mostly targeting walters....so hopefully the bites on, my son is dyin to get some fish this wknd....Dave
