Default Electric Cargo Ship in China...

....used to haul coal to electricity generating station.

You can't make this stuff up! Ah, the irony of it all.......

The green group gets all flustered about pipelines that might leak yet support a ship that runs on coal generated electricity powered by 1,000 lithium batteries that could end up in the ocean if the ship sinks.

Its a strange world these days.

Lithium Batteries with Lithium mined by child labour, hell of a deal i'd say.

In this case they have two readily available, cheap power sources directly at hand (coal & electricity) to run that short-haul bulk cargo ship.

I think they chose well.
