Ooooo good 'ole Conklin.....must be working on the neverending pipeline eh?

I would suggest small jigs tipped with minnows, and just try to fish the shoals and hope you catch them as they pass through. Christina Lake is also a good bet for fishing

Default walleye

If i was you I wouldn't waste my time with the walleye. Go over to grist lake and drop some smelts or jigging spoons and catch some big ol lakers.

I'd talk to the guys at the lodge. They will certainly have some good pointers for you as to where to fish. I'd agree with the minnow baited jigs. If you have glow jigs give them a shot. There are a few strong creeks on that lake so if you can fish transitions in close proximity to the creek mouths (not to close as ice will be thin) Fish near by transitions as the walleye will be getting closer and closer to their spawning grounds. Ask the guys at the lodge about access to any of the creeks and if possible try near the greist as I've done well there before (many years back). Good luck that lake has some hog eyes and pike.

There is a bait ban on winefred lake, use to be one of those 'trophy lakes"

Good call couleestalker i was just checking the regs. The other thing to keep in mind is that you can't keep any walleye.
