Fished beside Cory all the time in Hardy. This past year it was odd not seeing the Silver Lady out there. One hell of a fisherman. Way too young to pass on. Makes you realize to cherish everyday of life...especially out on the water.

Wow that's shocking. I didn't know Corey well but I did fish with him once in 2004. He was definitely a great fisherman and one heck of a guide. That's really too bad.

My Grandpa was on his death bed and decided he wanted to go halibut fishing one last time. We had no idea how it would work with him being so sick but he wanted to go so we took him. Corey ended up being our guide and he did everything possible to keep old gramps comfortable out on the boat...totally above and beyond. I'm sure that Corey will be greatly missed.

Gifted Hunter - that's a really great salmon...one that I'm sure you'll remember for the rest of your life. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

He actually passed on from SADS. It's something we know very little about...but is very similar to SIDS...except on adults.

One thing that is for sure is that he loved fishing.

The guide passed on in Australia from SADS after catching a monster marlin the day before. Passed on in his sleep.

I run a Floating Lodge on the west side of the Queen Charlotte Islands and a couple years ago we told one of our guests this same thing after he came in with a 48 #er. The next day he caught a 69#er........you never know. Anything close to 50 is still a fish of a life time , I am envious as my personal best is only 43#. Nice fish
