Default my new ice shack on sylvan lake

we were out on sylvan lake for a little while sunday,
didnt see any fish, wind was howling. we saw a lot of shacks blown over.
heres a pic of my new ice shack, lol

the town of sylvan lake hired an artist to build this beautiful ice castle on the
lake right where the skating rink is. the kids can skate right through it and
people are coming from all over to see it and take photos.
i think the price tag was around $10,000.00
they used about 50 tonnes of ice blocks.
it really is worth coming down to check it out.
it has some benchs inside. but it is too shallow of water to any good for
ice fishing, my son wanted to try anyway.

Tax dollars well spent......$14000 to build it and it melted in the heat last week.

Acually kids smashed some of the blocks around the window openings causing it to melt away..little bastards, it was nice

It is a shame that these kids do not have any thing better thing to do with there time..I bet it was done at night so next question what are they doing out at that time..good parenting i guess

They should've built it further out, the little bastards don't have the energy or ambition to go very far, and that way guys could've used it for fishing...
