Default What lake in Northern Sask.

Just wondering if any one has been ice fishing in Northern Sask..A group of buddies are going to go ice fishing for a few days this March... Last year we went to Lac des isles and didnt have very good luck... So if any one knows of a lake with cabins I would appreciate any tips... We are thinking maybe Keeley this year or maybe Canoe...

Cheers

Try chitek lake I think there's cabins there . fishing excellent

Big river You can stay in the motel there and there's a ton of lakes around that area. I can't name all where to start but many good lakes I grew up around there. Just ask locals if you go, all friendly and willing to share hot spots.

I have never tried canoe in the winter. Summer and Spring time are always good.

I think more of us Albertans will be going to Sask. to catch and release some great sized fish.

Our lakes are getting tougher each year. Not sure if it is fishing pressure, water level of the lakes and much more smarter fisherman.

What does everyone think of our current lakes populations (size, how many actually seen and pressure from fisherman)?

I have icefished for many years and the fishing is getting poorer each year.

Good luck and Good fishing!!!
