Single Strand 9" Titanium Leaders ( 40lb ) - much MUCH better than steel - no kinks As far as I can remember it was from these guys...

Nine ft. RIO or Climax mono leader tapering to 3x, then add fluoro tippet as situation dictates.

I buy the berkley titanium stuff , with the sleves and crimp it shut I can make 6 inch one or 36 inch ones. I add a swivel to the top and a snap to the bottom and im set. 100 lb ledders , no pike will chew therew that.

Went to Crawling on Fri. Trolled bottom bouncers all day and caught maybe a dozen pike in the 22-26 inch range (3 keepers) and several smallish walleyes. Used 17 lb fluorocarbon leaders and did not get bit off once. Had to re-tie twice due to some nicks, but all in all: not bad.

What type of fishing are you asking about Kenzo? I like flouro, but keep in mind there is a big difference between a leader on fly gear as compared to spinning/bait fishing.

i only spin/bait . im leaning towards trying some flourocarbon stuff, but not sure what to use for walleye, and has to be strong enough just incase the pike hit it
