For every black bear shot just think how many calf moose are saved. I think you should be able to shoot them like gophers.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are a top predator of caribou calves as well.

I recall one forum member stating that the bears have a knack of following the cows to the birthing areas, in thicker stuff beyond where the wolves would go. I could be mistaken, though.

I agree, its weird cause i stumbled upon a random video yesterday of a woman who is "friends" with a bunch of black bears, feeds em, pets em and stuff...people have such a distorted version of reality, I would love for her to see what her friend's diet looks like! They are calf eating machines.

I have seen videos of that nature as well (possibly the same person).

Even if she never gets hurt (and she does get bluff-charged), what a horrid example to others.
