Yeah im not sure where you are looking at tikka s/s for a 1000$ but good for them for getting someone to pay that. My friend bought that exact gun in .270 win this spring for like 850$ with leupold rings and bases(which are about 125 or so). So do a little shopping around at your small town gun stores and you might be surprised on the prices you will find. This way you will be putting the money spent into a small town business! Never a bad thing!
