Default Question about Simoniz 1500psi presure washer

I just had one given to me for free. I know, it will not very powerfull but it was free.
On the adustable wand, at the tip there is two dials. One for fan spead and one for the high / low presure. The grey presure thing only turns maybe 1/16 of an inch at most. I think something is wrong with that and should turn more, like 1/4 of a turn. Am I correct ? I can take the fan part off but how does the other part come off ? I think some dirt or something is stuck in there.

Not gonna buy a new wand as a complete unit on sale will probably cost the same. And if I was going to buy, it would be a 3000 psi gas unit.

Those Simonize "appliances" are junk - it was free for a reason - it's not worth your time playing with.

I won one of those at a raffle and it worked for about one hour total time.

There should be laws about building and marketing throw away junk like those things.

i got 10 years out of mine. worked ok for cleaning exterior of the house, the garage floor, garage door, deck, driveway. I recall that the end piece moved a quarter turn to adjust the spray angle.

Thanks. Gonna put some channel locks on it and see if it moves.

Thats all I was thinking of doing with it, siding and stuff that doesn't / shouldn't have a lot of presure put to it.

I do believe that mine turns a 1/4 turn to adjust.

And I agree, I bought mine for siding and light duty, the hotsy comes out when its time to get serious about cleaning.

I Put the channel locks to it and it turns now. Must be some dirt of some kind in there. Sprayed a little WD40 and twisted back and fourth a couple dozen times. Fairly loose now. The spray adjustment moves about a quarter turn and the high/low presure turns about 1 complete turn now, it was like 1/16 of a turn before. Gotta get some silicone spray to put in it now.

Off to the store for some Jigaloo ! I love that stuff !

Thanks !
