Main Range butts are 10/20/30/40/50M from the firing line. Broadheads permitted in the "broadhead Crib" only. Crossbows permitted. Temporary bow rack and shooting tables. Toilet on site.

Broadhead Crib set at 20M has a "pass-through" frame. Roll of paper housed in top tube is pulled down and sand backs the arrow.

Trail walk is 300M and has 15 3D targets. First is the bear.

Second on the trail walk is a deer, in realistic hunting condition...looking away as you have been quiet on the groomed main trail.

Memberships for 2013 will be available Dec 15th. For single range memberships, you will be able to get them at the usual places (spfga.org) ...Family range must be purchased through the Membership Chair, so just priint an application from the website and use the mail. I think it is safe to assure people that if they purchase prior to Jan 31st, they will not have a problem. However, given that the cap was reached by the end of May this year and the club routinely gets several calls each day regarding memberships.... thing can be expected to happen much sooner for 2013.

I currently hold a Family membership and I purchased it from the Alberta Fish and Game Office on Calgary Trail South just North of Argyll. Is it no longer available to purchase a Family membership from that location?

I assume your Family membership is not a Family RANGE membership? The club started limiting the sale of FAMILY RANGE memberships to purchases made through the Membership Chair this year. This was necessary beacuse some of the "dealerships" were not checking the ages of dependents ...and of course, we started getting 60yr olds including their 3 "kids in their 30's as part of their "family". Once these got to the Chair, it took considerable extra time and effort to get things sorted out ..hence the "new" limitation regarding family range cards.
I will check to see if the Chair made a special arrangement with the AFGA office.

No, as far as I know it was a full family range membership. My Wife, stepson (14), Son (10) and Myself all have green membership card with our names and birthdays on them.

Was just wondering as I usually pick it up at the AFGA office because it is easy and I am by there often.

Well, the Archery Improvement Project for 2013 is nearly complete... Shed is near completion, some more X bracing, some equipment benches, bow racks and or hooks, a safety curtain to come... but here is how it looks June 14th.

Question, does the gun range membership include this as well or is it a separate membership? I am already a member of that gun range and would love to get a membership for this as I am just taking up archery now. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

An SPFGA Range card gives you access to all facilities on the property, including the Archery Range.
A GENERAL membership (which is still obtainable in 2013), gives the holder access to all the facilities EXCEPT the gun Ranges...so, it is still possible join the club and use the Archery Range.
Website is www.spfga.org

A bit more accomplished - June 21 - Now, there is a pipe fence on either side of the shed entry, a safety curtain, and an equipment bench on the south end.
