My First Kill With A Bow & It's A Buck
I arrowed this buck on the evening of October 20 at 35 yards from my tree-stand and couldn't be much happier due to the fact this is the biggest buck I had on camera this year and was gunning for him come November when rifle season opened. I was situated on a cutline and he was following several does out to the hay field. I have had a 3 year history with this buck and it was a great feeling to finally lay my hands on his antlers. This year was the first year he really added the non-typ growth but his mb length, inside spread and mass really went down hill. I've pegged him as a 5.5-6.5 year old buck. He just makes it as a main frame 5x5 but as an added bonus he has a non-typ left side. He gross scores 163 1/4 P&Y. Longest G-1: 7"... G-2: 12 7/8"... G-3: 10 3/8"... Largest mass is 4 1/2". Inside Spread of 14 1/2" and longest MB is 20 1/2". Then he has 15" of non-typ on his left side.
