I saw a young black out near the Waiparous area a few weeks ago. He was kinda far away and looked pretty slow and groggy so he may have just been out for a quick stroll to see if spring was here yet. It seemed a little early but with the mild springs we have had the last few years they may be waking up a little sooner. I also saw a Griz out two weekends ago in one of the eastern B.C. valleys near Golden, he was just rolling around in the slushy snow, foolin around in the sun.

Default Spring Blackies

Just got back from the oil field about 45km north east of peace river. Lots of blakies spotted in the ditches, also lots of deer in the ditches. Driving back last night must have seen over 200 from about 50km north of Slave on 88 down to about Chislom. Was kinda unerving in my new truck. Hope this info helped.
