Default Lake Pend Oreille Idaho

Has anyone ever made the trip down to fish this lake? I hear they have a bounty on lake trout and used to have one on Rainbows. Now the walleye population is getting bigger and they want them gone.

You sure your not thinking of Flathead lake by Kalispel. the laker limit on that lake is 100. Never heard of Lakers in Pend Oreille. Used to go every fall to catch what the locals call Kamloop trout, grow very large 20 plus lbs. Never heard of anyone ever catching a walleye. Good Kokanee fishn for sure.

As a kid we caught TONS and TONS of perch out of there. We used maggots.
I had a monster "SOME THING" off the dock that broke my line and almost my rod. No one believed a 12 year old kid though... I swear the Ogopogo migrated south..

Sounds like you can catch all kinds of different fish in there.

Years ago (pre fish a holic days) stayed at Farragut State Park in a little camping cabin. Ansolutely beautiful park, with swimming and boat launch. Really should go back now to fish.
