Chiasson cleared.

Bouchard skating with the starters today. Bear is skating with the taxi squad, apparently he's dealing with concussion like symptoms after being hit in the head with a puck vs TOR. Hopefully he's back to 100% ASAP.

I sure hope we get to see Bouchard in the lineup tonight and get some decent ice time.

Bouchard in lineup today! Oilers playing 7 dmen. 11 Forwards.

McDavid, Drai or maybe Nuge will probably fill in on 4th line an help them along.

One Wheel James Neal a healthy scratch for tonight. Must be saving him for Saturday night. Go Flames.

Maybe this will clarify it for you guys. From an Oiler's fan...

https://edmontonjournal.com/sports/h...second-thought

"Bottom line, the Flames came out of the exchange with three wins on paper: big savings in real dollars, cap savings based on the retained salary, and the draft pick. The Oilers on the other hand wound up with the better player.

Or did they?

The picture may change in future years, but at this point one season after the big trade, my painful conclusion is “advantage Calgary”. Sigh."

It's okay, you'll probably win a trade one day, maybe!

Bottom line is he couldn’t play with the oil and just getting him off the roster was a win. Oilers are just too fast for him. He’s better suited where he is now.

If at any point we move Neal out early. We win. End of story. Good to have an Owner with deep pockets.

Lucic going to move on his no trade clause ?? Likely not. Good thing to cause apparently Flames fans would be devastated if he left Calgary.

The win for me was not having to watch Lucic hang on to the boards anymore when engaged in a puck battle. God awful to watch.

This trade will be really judged at the Kraken expansion draft. If Looch forces Calgary to protect him, Calgery loses big time.

Yea, same problem Hall, Talbot, Yukapov, Puljujärvi, etc. had, just not fast enough.

Yup, and if Monahan scores 60 he'll will the Art Ross.

Don't agree with McCurdy either hey. It's not really his opinion, he laid out all the facts in the article. Neal is now playing so well that he's a healthy scratch.

"The Flames may have to protect Lucic as a seventh forward and perhaps lose a slightly better player than they would have otherwise, but at this juncture that seems a fairly small price to pay."

Who knows if it's true, guess we'll find out, but rumor has it that Lucic did agree to waiver his NMC for the purpose of expansion. Even if he doesn't, he thinks it was so lopsided that even if Bennett, or someone, gets selected, it was worth it.

Reading you guys try to justify it is quite amusing. Reminds me of the "my opinion outweighs the facts" crowd.

Protected or not zero chance Kraken are taking Milan. Why would they?

They wouldn't. Just like they aren't taking Neal, or likely anyone in their mid 30's that would be available.

I like the looks of Bouchard so far and for some reason Russell is having a very good game. Maybe the motivation of being paired with a new guy is pushing him to his best.
