I had this happen to me behind my parents acreage in WMU 212.

I was walking the dog and cam across a cow moose stuck in the fence. The dog wanted to pursue it but once she realized the moose was not going anywhere she knew that was a battle she would lose.

Came back with some fence shears and clipped her free. Took off like a bat out of hell.

Thought I would share

Several years ago I was quad ding at Maclean crk witha group of friends, maybe 4-5 of us. We stopped for a half a sandwich on a trail and had been there for 15-20 min when we noticed something in a mud hole 50 yards away. It was a cow moose up to her neck in the hole of mud. We ended up looping a tow start around one leg and neck and winched her out. She layed there for 30 minutes at least. Then she walked away finally. It was something to see for sure.

Great job, and it shows just how compassionate hunters can be.

Found a horse stuck up to is chest in a bog in the kootney's. Me and 4 buds spent a few hrs digging, pulling and calling. Finally got her worked out.. I'll never forget the look in her eyes ..
