Default Arrow saw

I use my mitre saw with a zip blade in it. Zip blades are made for cutting metal for those who don't know and mine is about 6" in diameter if I remember correctly. You'll have to use some blocking etc. to raise the arrow off the bed of the saw so its high enough to reach the blade. For the price of a blade instead of a dedicated saw its not a bad way to go.

A good arrow saw is an important tool, for the price ...under $200.00 for a decent saw, if one has the time, tools and material one can build one AT has a design as mentioned above...however how accurate and depenable are they...

We have an Apple Saw and have cut litterly thousands of arrows with no issues...very good quaility and precision
applearchery.com/

Cabelas actually have a good quility saw also starting at approx $150.00

http://www.cabelas.com/ensemble/Hunt...kages/5835.uts

Note: A 5000 RPM saw will do most home shops for those that dont cut more than a couple dozen arrows a year... takes a little longer with a little more care on your part...
However an 8000 RPM is far superior in quaility and precision of cut..

Most Pro shops can order the arrow saw for you, most cant justify an arrow saw and simply have their pro shops cut arrows for next to nothing, we usually dont even charge for cutting arrows in a set up even if bought elsewhere...

NOTE* Buy extra blades...they do break and wear proper eye protection/safety glasses when cutting arrows as the blades can explode sending shapnel everywhere...

Hmmmm... A few DIY options?

I've never built one, but have a spare Dremel sitting at home that I may put to good (further) use... I think with the $12.99 5 pack of diamond cutoff disks for the Dremel, it should handle the task no?

With any home made arrow saws...and even the pro models I would suggest you get an ASD .....Arrow Squaring Device..

G5 makes a great one...for both arrow and insert
