Im late to the party getting started but had to get deer season out of the way..set 2 small baits Wednesday and first check was yesterday ...looks like maybe a good year ahead .4 at one and 2 another. That early monster snow didnt do us any real snaring favors ,wiped out 1 and 1/2 of my best brush patches..was only able to set 28 snares between the next 2 . Fur looks good tho.

Very nice catch, Cam, especially if you had the same conditions as up here. Between a couple of very windy days, mild temperatures and the full moon it’s been really slow this week. I’d be real happy to get 6 coyotes in a couple/few days on a couple of bait sites this week.

Thanx Dave ,very warm here and some wind as well..looking forward to temp drop Wednesday but no snow in sight. A couple of my best spots got destroyed by drifts so had to move outta there ..will check again today and set up last site tomorrow ..hope your luck improves . Got one in a foot trap yesterday here at home, usually only catch a couple a year that way so got that out of the road ..lol

Nice. Good luck the rest of the season. I’m jealous, sitting here recovering from shoulder surgery. Coyotes get a break this winter on my end.

Sad to hear that trigger,at least you were able to get in to get it fixed ..or was this from an accident . Either way wishing you a speedy recovery ...betting the dogs catch hell as soon as you recover..was able to pick up one more yesterdaybut could really use some cold and snow

It was from a work related injury. You’re right, if it’s all good by next winter, the yoties around here are in for a beating. Got to make up for lost time. Best of luck this winter. I hope you catch a pile of them and that the prices are well worth all the effort. I have 12 hides hanging in my shed that I was able to get just before my surgery. Shot 13 in a day and a half of calling, but one was mangy. Buyer is coming by next week to take them. They are early coyotes from the end of October, but I just had to get a few before going under the knife. I’ll let you know what the prices are. They are actually pretty nice dogs for being early.

Another good day yesterday, 6 more nice ones ..hard part is the pull getting them to the top to the truck ...this little but of snow is a game changer coupled with temp drop and no full moon . Not hearing much about everyones success, hows the catches for you ?
