Talking Upcoming Horn Scoring Shows

Ok folks no excuses for having nothing to do this weekend. There are 5 listed Horn Scoring shows this weekend alone; Stoney Creek( not sure where this is?), Bashaw, Ashmont, Rich Lake and Bonnyville. There should be some huge competition after seeing some of the deer taken this year. Please take the time to look at the Horn Scoring Thread and support these local initiatives. In most cases the money they raise helps the local community.

I also updated the prize list for the Cherry Grove Show; it's HUGE!

Thanks!

The Stoney Creek Outfitting BBC is being held in Whitecourt. It gets started at 1pm on Sunday. I think the dinner is booked up but you can call them to see if there are any dinner seats available. Their number is 780-778-8879. Dinner is $20. Otherwise, come by and see some monsters.

So does your deer have to be shot near where these shows are being held?

I am going over to Rich Lake on Saturday night for a little meeting and to get things set up for the show Sunday. I am also going to head into St.Paul tomorrow to bring my caribou home from Warehouse Sports to display at the Horn Show, along with my wolf and my 2010 whitetail after it is scored. It is going to go on a wall with a couple other big bucks who were taken in Rich Lake.

Hopefully some guys from the boards come out to the show Sunday.

I am thinking about coming to Cherry Grove to see the show, not sure. Is there a lot to look at (taxidermy, vendors, etc)?

At the Cherry Grove event there will be six vendors set up as well as an abundant array of birds, fish and animals on display. Check out the website for last years pics. This years event is turning out to be huge!
