Default Color Changes under water 0'-100' video

Hey everyone,

I haven't been around here too much lately but took some footage on my last trip to the Caribbean (Roatan, Honduras) and with the help of Len Thompson / Northern King getting me some of their colors to make this video possible.

Hope you enjoy.

Would love to hear some feedback

Were the UV lures fluorescent or top coated with UV reactive top coat or both.

The UV is in the certain paints, not a top coat.

Thats great and all. But how do fish eyes process colour in comparison to ours?

Unless of course we are fishing for humans.....

Also do Salmon eyes process differently than a Trout or a Pike?

I love this but would like some real info.

That's very similar to the instrument that In- Fisherman used to market in the 80's.
I don't remember what they called , but is was quite popular for a while.

Keep in mind this is tropical salt water so the light penetration is vastly different than our lakes up here which will make the colours appear differently in size, shape and visibility.

Agreed,

It would be cool to see that test done in a lake like Cold Lake and then compare to the saltwater test.

I started this video for myself and got them to help out with the colors.

I’m going to be making some custom lures in the Northern King lineup for myself.

I will be passing on the info that I hear on all the platforms I get info from to them.

Cool video. Definately is some applicability to freshwater. Jigging a tiny little Red/White Len Thompson on clear mountain reservoirs, I've watched the red transform into a duller brown after 20-some feet.

Just more proof that vibrating/rattling lures work at all depths.
