Default Blood Indian Report

Drove onto a long narrow bay, on the southeast end of the lake, with the dam in sight. Drilled among about 8 other hard shacks...

Only managed two small rainbows and about a 1 lb Tiger Trout.

Fishing 8 - 12 FOW.

Only about 1.5 ft visibility, as water is stained brown.

About 2 ft + of ice.

They weren't interested in stationary bait and only seemed to hit while jigging.

Hoping to find some bigger fish before ice off.

How do you guys like to fish this lake?

The rainbows seem difficult to catch in the last two years, but I've managed some nice ones. Caught a keeper brown and tiger last time I was out amongst other.

I would say that 12 feet is too deep, I like to fish in a max of 8-9.

Usual suspects: tungsten jigs with bait (shrimp, meal worms), slip bobbers with said bait, rippin raps, etc.

I plan to go this Sunday, I'll report back if I'm brave enough to face the cold.

I was out there last weekend. Spent 12 hours on the lake. Caught 5 fish. 4 Tigers and 1 rainbow. So.. pretty slow. Caught our biggest in 4 feet of water with a small jig an a minnow head. Would love to catch a big brown outta there....After researching, some say to go much deeper for Browns. 20-30 feet and look for suspended fish. But I really have no clue.

I spend a fair amount of time at the lake, and I've noticed that in the first few years of the Prussian carp issue, the rainbows absolutely thrived. In the last 2 years or so, I've noticed that the fishing has slowed down. I'm not sure if they're related, and I realize that it's anecdotal, but it might be something to consider.
